Samsung has officially launched the Galaxy S26 FE in India, giving buyers another option if they want a flagship-style phone without paying for the more expensive Galaxy S26 models.
The phone costs ₹79,999 ($833) in India and comes with a 6.7-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, an Exynos 2500 chip, a 4,900mAh battery, and a triple-camera system with 3x optical zoom. It is also the first FE model to ship with One UI 9 out of the box.
The Galaxy S26 FE has already been available in the US and Europe for a few days, but its India launch puts the phone in the spotlight. It sits between Samsung’s premium S26 lineup and the more affordable Galaxy A series, offering buyers a middle ground between price and flagship features.
Samsung is bringing its newest AI experience to more people
This year, Samsung is betting that AI is the feature people care about most. Instead of treating AI as a collection of gimmicks, the company is trying to weave it throughout the operating system.
One example is My FanCam, which automatically identifies a selected subject and keeps them centred in the video frame as they move. It's the first time the feature has appeared on a Galaxy FE device.
There's also Super Steady with Horizontal Lock for smoother videos, Nightography for better low-light photography, and Photo Assist, which lets users edit photos using plain-language prompts.
