Finding the right scholarship or grant can be difficult when opportunities are spread across different websites, countries, and application portals. Some cover tuition, while others provide research funding, startup investment, mentorship, or support for early-stage ideas.
To make the search easier, we have rounded up four scholarships and grants with upcoming deadlines, covering opportunities for Nigerian students, African researchers, founders, engineers, and early-stage technology builders.
/1. Askya AI Growth Platform
African AI founders with a working product and early commercial traction can apply to the inaugural Askya AI Growth Platform.
The six-week programme is designed around helping AI startups move from early traction towards sustainable growth. Selected founders will receive coaching, workshops, access to AI and cloud infrastructure, partner tools and opportunities to connect with potential enterprise customers.
The programme is free and takes no equity. Ten startups will be selected, and the strongest companies in the cohort may receive up to $200,000 in investment from Askya after the programme.
The programme is open to Africa-focused AI startups from MVP through Series A, provided they have a live product and commercial traction.
