Global smartphone shipments from Original Design Manufacturers/Independent Design Houses (ODMs/IDHs) reported a significant 6% YoY decline during the first half of 2023, according to Counterpoint Research's recent report.
Although still a poor performance, the smartphone ODM market fared better than the wider market's 12% YoY Plunge.
The decline was primarily driven by the lacklustre performance of industry giants Samsung and Xiaomi, among others. However, this negative trend was partly offset by notable growth from vivo, HONOR, and Transsion Group.
