For someone considering a career in the UK, getting a job is only part of the story. There are visas to understand, unfamiliar systems to figure out, questions about where to live and how to settle in, and the challenge of making an existing career translate to a new market.
That's where this partnership comes in.
Your Diaspora Hub (YDH) helps migrants and diaspora professionals navigate life and opportunities in the UK across six areas: visas, housing, healthcare, employment, banking and community, while Techloy brings its community of tech professionals and its focus on the people, products and opportunities shaping the industry.
Together, the two organisations will publish a series of articles and newsletters over the coming weeks on what it takes to build a career in the UK as a tech professional.
And that means going beyond job listings. The partnership will explore the experience of relocating and starting over, the systems professionals have to navigate once they arrive, the realities of finding a job and progressing in the UK market, and the communities that can make building a life abroad a little less unfamiliar.
It will also come with practical resources.
One of the first is the UK Diaspora Career Playbook, a 5-page guide covering some of the questions that come up when planning a move, including visas, housing, banking and the first job search.
The partnership will also lead to Tech to UK: How Tech Professionals Are Landing UK Jobs, a live three-hour session on Saturday, 26 September 2026, featuring an expert panel, breakout rooms, and a live Q&A. The session will bring together tech professionals and industry voices to discuss finding opportunities in the UK and what it takes to build a career there.
