A 7,050mAh battery, a 120Hz AMOLED display and a Dimensity 7360-Turbo chip put the Vivo V80 Lite 5G firmly in the mid-range smartphone conversation. But Vivo has made the phone more interesting by giving it different hardware depending on the market.

The V80 Lite 5G has launched in Pakistan with a 7,050mAh battery and 44W charging, starting at PKR 124,999 (around $450). In Malaysia, however, Vivo is preparing a different version with a much larger 10,000mAh battery, alongside a redesigned body, with the phone set to launch on September 3.

That means the V80 Lite isn’t simply a single phone being rolled out globally. Vivo appears to be adapting the hardware for different markets, raising an interesting question for buyers elsewhere: which version will eventually reach their country, and how different will it be?
