After months of rumors, the game is officially listed on the Australian Xbox Store, which basically confirms that Xbox players will soon get to experience one of gaming’s most iconic horror stories.
The remake has already made waves on other platforms. Critics have given it an 86/100 on Metacritic, and players love it even more, rating it 9.1/10. On Steam, it’s sitting at a 95% positive rating from over 47,000 reviews. Sales have been strong too, with Konami reporting 2.5 million units sold worldwide across PlayStation 5 and PC. From what we know so far, there'll be a Standard and a Deluxe Edition, both with roughly 50% launch discounts (in Australia, that’s $50 AUD for Standard and $57 AUD for Deluxe). U.S. pricing is expected to hit around $70–80 USD before discounts.

While an official date hasn’t been confirmed yet, the Xbox Store briefly teased November 21 before taking it down, so it seems we’re not far off from a launch. The remake’s success is big enough that Bloober Team is now confirmed to be working on a remake of the original 1999 Silent Hill, showing that Konami is serious about reviving this classic horror franchise.
