As “Techtember” approaches, Apple is preparing for what could be one of its most significant iPhone launches yet. The company is widely expected to unveil its iPhone 18 Pro lineup in September, with rumours pointing to the arrival of its first foldable iPhone.

The timing could make the event particularly interesting. John Ternus is set to become Apple CEO on September 1, replacing Tim Cook, who will move into the role of executive chairman.

If the iPhone launch follows shortly afterwards, it would be one of Ternus’ first major product events as CEO.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro Price: RAMageddon Pushes It to $1,399
As AI data centers drain the world’s memory chip supply, analysts say Apple may have little choice but to raise the iPhone 18 Pro’s price by as much as $300.

What to expect from the iPhone 18 Pro event

Apple is expected to introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, alongside the rumoured iPhone Ultra, which is expected to be the company’s first foldable iPhone.

Apple could also be changing its usual launch strategy. Rather than introducing the entire iPhone 18 family at one event, rumours suggest the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e and a potential iPhone Air 2 could arrive in early 2027.

The iPhone 18 Pro models are expected to retain much of the iPhone 17 Pro’s design while receiving several internal upgrades. Rumoured changes include the A20 Pro chip, a smaller Dynamic Island, a variable-aperture camera, Apple’s next-generation C2 modem and a new dark cherry colour.
