Startups across Africa and the Middle East raised a combined $141.3 million this week, based on disclosed funding rounds tracked by Techloy, with investor capital flowing primarily into AI and electric mobility. Four larger growth-stage deals, led by Israeli water-intelligence company Wint, accounted for more than 80% of the week's funding activity.

Here are the biggest disclosed startup funding rounds across Africa, the Middle East and Israel this week.
/1. Wint, $36M, AI Water Management, Israel
Wint is an Israeli-founded water intelligence company whose AI platform monitors pipes and water systems inside commercial and industrial buildings, flagging leaks and shutting off flow before they cause damage. The Series D was co-led by LIP Ventures and Inven Capital and follows a $35 million Series C in 2023, with the new money going toward product development and expansion into more global markets.
/2. ARC Ride, $33.3M, Electric Mobility, Kenya
ARC Ride runs a battery-swapping network for electric motorcycles in Kenya, letting commercial riders trade a depleted battery for a charged one instead of owning or charging their own. The round combined equity and debt, led by Novastar Ventures and Norrsken22 with 3 other development finance institutions, will fund 5,000 new electric motorcycles plus expansion into Ghana, South Africa, Tanzania and Uganda.
/3. Cymphony, $25M, AI Cybersecurity, Israel
Cymphony builds a security platform that maps every employee, AI agent, and machine account inside a company's systems, so security teams can see what each one can reach before it becomes a breach. The Series A was co-led by Sequoia Capital and SMBC Fin Atlas Beyond Fund, valuing the New York- and Tel Aviv-based company above $100 million and bringing its total funding to $30 million.
