For the fourth straight quarter, Google’s parent company, Alphabet reported growth in the single digits marking a better-than-expected revenue and profit for the second quarter of 2023, even as it reckons with a pullback in digital ad spending.
Second-quarter 2023 revenue rose 7% to reach $74.6 billion up from $69.7 billion in the year-earlier period, comfortably surpassing Wall Street's estimate of $72.82 billion, according to Refinitiv. However still a single-digit growth, it is an improvement from the 3% growth posted in the first quarter, as shown in the Techloy chart below.
