Apple is testing a major upgrade to Siri that would allow the assistant to handle multiple requests within a single prompt, according to a report published today by Bloomberg.

The feature, currently in development for iOS 27, iPadOS 27, and macOS 27, would mark a significant shift in how Siri works. As Mark Gurman reported, the capability would let users combine tasks — “asking Siri to check the weather, create a calendar appointment and send a message — all within a single prompt.”

That would address one of Siri’s long-standing limitations. Today, the assistant requires users to issue commands one at a time, making it less capable than newer AI tools that can handle more complex, multi-step instructions.

The upgrade is part of Apple’s broader effort to overhaul Siri, which was first introduced in 2011. The company is working to make the assistant more context-aware, allowing it to better understand personal information and what is happening on a user’s screen.
