BikeWo, a multi-brand Hyderabad-headquartered electric two-wheeler showroom, launched ‘BikeWo Shield’, a 5-year warranty scheme, with an aim to increase the adoption of electric vehicles (EVs) by giving confidence to the customers regarding the safety and reliability of the vehicle.

This scheme promises a five-year warranty that will cover the motor, controller, and converter. In contrast, the other players in the industry only offer one year warranty.

The company also says under the BikeWo showroom, customers will be able to avail the best offers, including access to the nearest charging stations - in association with Chargenet, and live experiences such as a test drive, before investing in the model of choice.

It will also offer assistance from industry experts in buying, financing, and providing insurance through well-known partners to give the customer a seamless, worry-free buying and post-sales experience.

To date, around 109 customers have benefitted from this scheme since the offer came into force on March 1st, 2023. The company says the first 5,000 customers will be able to avail of it.

BikeWo prides itself as India's No-1 multi-brand electric two-wheeler dealership with a combined experience of more than 40 years working for branded companies like Hyundai, Volvo, Etrio Automotive, and Freshworks.

Currently, the firm has a strong presence in the South and West regions of the country as it has existing showrooms in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Karnataka. It is now looking to expand its presence in the north and east parts of the country by setting up around 150 showrooms in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Orissa, by the end of 2023.
