HealthAtom, a cloud-based operations system for small and midsize healthcare companies in Latin America, has announced the successful completion of a $10 million Series A funding round.

HealthAtom's medilink and dentalink software suites allow clinics to create schedules, manage electronic health records, handle inventory, administer payroll, and provide budgeting breakdowns and regulatory filings, while also offering telehealth capabilities that allow patients to access their records on a mobile device.

The company currently serves nearly 6,500 clients across 20 countries, with a strong presence in Chile, Colombia, and Mexico. Additionally, over 50,000 doctors and dentists use HealthAtom's services and process over 42 million appointments annually.

The funds raised in this round will be used to incorporate embedded payments in the software, form partnerships with insurance companies, and develop a loan program for patients. The company's goal is to be the go-to solution for small and midsize healthcare clinics in Latin America to run their operations, and to cater to the healthcare needs of the countries within the region.

Led by Kayyak Ventures, the round also included participation from FJ Labs, Soma, Amador, Taram, and a number of angel investors. This marks the first time the company has announced fresh capital since its founding in 2012.
