Starting next month, foreign tourists visiting China will experience greater convenience when it comes to making payments for taxi rides, restaurant meals and attraction tickets in China’s cashless society.

For years, China had restricted access to mobile payment networks for foreign-issued credit cards due to the government’s rigid financial and data controls, recent developments however show things are easing up.
