BlackBerrys were the phones to have in the 2000s. They were one of the most iconic flagship devices globally, renowned for their physical QWERTY keyboards and distinct navigational tools like trackballs or trackpads that set them apart from other devices.
But everything fell apart in the 2010s when their market share shrank and competitors like the iPhone and Samsung rose to overtake them. And even though BlackBerrys aren't a thing anymore, a lot of people may still have an affinity and love for their phones. That's what tech startup Clicks Technology is hoping for, as the company is planning to launch a modern take on the OG BlackBerry.
The device, dubbed the Clicks Communicator, was initially showcased earlier this year at CES 2026 as a nonfunctional dummy. Recently, the company shared a new video showing some of the hardware and software of the phone and what it may look like when the phone starts shipping later this year.
