If you've been looking for a reason to return to Night City, Cyberpunk 2077 has a few new things for you to try.
Update 2.5 brings two side quests, dual-wielding pistols and revolvers, new cosmetic options, and support for community-created mods.
CD Projekt Red released the patch notes on October 21, ahead of the update's October 22 launch. Some of the additions draw on Cyberpunk: Edgerunners, the Netflix anime that premiered on October 20, while others give players new ways to explore and customise the game.

When Can You Play Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5?
Update 2.5 is scheduled for October 22, 2026, on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. The PC release covers Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store, while the Mac version through Steam, GOG, and the Epic Games Store is also included.
The Nintendo Switch 2 and Mac App Store versions will receive the update in the days following the initial release. The patch is free for existing owners of the game.
What's New in Cyberpunk 2077 Update 2.5?
There's a mix of new activities, combat options and cosmetic extras in this update. Here's what to look out for.
/1. You can now dual-wield pistols and revolvers
Fancy taking on Night City's gangs with a gun in each hand? The new Double Trouble perk lets V dual-wield Power-category pistols and revolvers. It sits in the Cool skill tree and comes with four supporting perks. The update also adds Photo Mode poses designed for the new combat style, so you can give V a suitably dramatic action shot.
/2. Two new quests take you around Night City
The first new side quest, Clampdown, takes place before the events of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2. To unlock it, you'll need to complete The Heist and two gigs for Wakako, then wait for her to message you. Finishing the quest rewards you with a five-piece gear set based on King, a character from the anime.
The second quest, Welcome to Paradise, takes a different approach. Richard Night narrates a mystery tour of the city, which becomes available after you've completed The Heist and reached level 15 Street Cred.
There's also more to find if you've already been hunting for Tarot Cards. Update 2.5 adds 12 Minor Arcana cards around Night City, extending the existing Fool on the Hill questline and offering a special reward for collecting them all.
/3. New music, outfits, and hairstyles
A new radio station, HKGN 102.0 FM, brings music from the Cyberpunk: Edgerunners series into the game. It's a fitting addition for anyone who wants a little more of the anime's atmosphere while driving around Night City.
You'll also find five new clothing sets at selected vendors, with one additional set planned for a later release. The NUS Infiltrator set is available separately from vendors in Kabuki and Japantown.
For more ways to change V's look, some hairstyles previously reserved for non-playable characters are now available to players. You can also unlock four TWINTONE skins for the Quadra Turbo-R V-Tech through Twitch Drops, while new Photo Mode frames take inspiration from the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game.
/4. Glamdocs let you customise your cyberware's appearance
Your cyberware can look different, too. Five Glamdocs around Night City offer cosmetic options for Mantis Blades, Gorilla Arms, Monowire and the Projectile Launch System.
Each Glamdoc has a shop, its own introductory scene, voice-over, and animations. You can also customise the colours of the available skins. These changes are visual, so don't expect them to give your existing implants new abilities.
/5. You can browse community mods in the game
Update 2.5 introduces mod support powered by mod.io, letting players browse and install selected community-created mods from the game's menu. The available selection may grow as more creators share their work.
The feature is supported on PC, Mac, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 5 Pro, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. There's one thing console players should keep in mind: achievements and trophies can't be earned from modded save files.
