Fortnite has reached another birthday milestone, and Epic Games is marking the occasion with a limited-time event that gives players several free cosmetics simply for playing and completing specific objectives.
The Fortnite Birthday Event began on September 21, 2026, and runs until October 1, when Epic Games is scheduled to transition into the next major seasonal event, Fortnitemares.
That gives players a limited window to collect all five free Birthday rewards. Three are tied to Birthday Quests, while the other two require players to complete separate in-game objectives.

What are the Fortnite Birthday rewards?
There are five free rewards available during Fortnite’s ninth Birthday Event.
The first three rewards are unlocked progressively by completing Birthday Quests, meaning you'll need to complete nine quests in total to collect both Back Blings and the Cake Crusher Pickaxe.
The final two rewards are earned differently. The 9th Birthday Sprite Spray requires you to enter a specific Lobby Hack Admin Panel Code, while the 9th Birthday Skin unlocks when you master 28 Sprites during the season.
How do you get the Fortnite Birthday rewards?
The easiest way to start collecting the rewards is by completing the Birthday Quests.
You'll receive the Choco-9 Back Bling after completing three Birthday Quests. Six completed quests unlock the Cake Crusher Pickaxe, while completing nine unlocks the FNCS Back Bling.
This means you don't need to complete every available Birthday Quest to collect the three quest-based rewards. You simply need to reach the required milestones. The other two rewards require separate objectives.
How to get the 9th Birthday Sprite Spray
The 9th Birthday Sprite Spray is obtained by entering the designated Lobby Hack Admin Panel Code during the Birthday Event.
This reward isn't tied to the Birthday Quest progression, so players looking to collect everything should make sure they complete this separate requirement as well.
How to get the 9th Birthday Skin
The final reward is the 9th Birthday Skin, which requires players to master 28 Sprites.
Sprites are part of Fortnite's current gameplay systems, so unlocking this reward requires more than simply logging in or completing the Birthday Quests. If you're aiming to collect all five cosmetics, this is the requirement you'll want to keep working toward throughout the event.
