Halo: Campaign Evolved launched worldwide yesterday, July 28, marking the first time a mainline Halo campaign has shipped on Xbox, PC, and PlayStation simultaneously. 

Bringing a rebuilt version of the 2001 classic Halo: Combat Evolved to Xbox Series X|S, PC and PlayStation 5. Alongside upgraded visuals, the remake introduces new missions, cross-platform co-op and several modern gameplay improvements while staying faithful to the original story. Microsoft says the game represents "the beginning of a new era for Halo" as the franchise expands to more players than ever before.

When Does Halo: Campaign Evolved Unlock?

Microsoft is using a simultaneous global launch, meaning players around the world gain access at the same moment rather than at local midnight. The game unlocks at:

  • 8:00 a.m. PDT
  • 11:00 a.m. EDT
  • 4:00 p.m. BST
  • 11:00 p.m. Singapore Time
  • 12:00 a.m. JST (July 29)

Players who bought the Premium or Collector's Edition have already been playing since July 23.
