VIDEO: How to Move Chrome Tabs to the Side in 5 Steps

Having too many tabs open in Google Chrome can be quite intimidating, to say the least, and if you're using it for work, it can be much more of a hassle having to figure out which tab is which 

However, with Chrome's vertical tabs feature, you don't have to keep your tabs lined up across the top of the browser; you move them to the side instead.  

With your tabs stacked vertically, you get more room to see their names and can move through a long list of open pages without hunting through a cramped tab bar. 

If it is not enabled by default for you, you can try the feature through Chrome's flags menu. Here's how:

Step 1: Open Chrome on your computer. 

Step 2: Type chrome://flags into the address bar and press Enter. 

Step 3: Use the search box to look for vertical tabs. 

Step 4: Find the relevant setting and change it from Default to Enabled. 

Step 5: Click Relaunch to restart Chrome.
