If you’ve ever felt dizzy or nauseous while using your iPhone in a moving vehicle, you’re not alone. Motion sickness happens when your eyes and inner ear send mixed signals to your brain, something that can easily occur while looking at your screen in a car.

Fortunately, Apple has added a feature called Vehicle Motion Cues to help reduce this discomfort by showing subtle animated dots on the screen that move with the vehicle.

How to turn on iPhone's anti-motion sickness feature

Step 1: Open the Settings app on your iPhone.

Step 2: Scroll down and tap Accessibility.

Step 3: Under the Vision section, tap Motion.

Step 4: Tap Show Vehicle Motion Cues.

Step 5: You can choose to either turn it on all the time by choosing 'On' or you can set it to automatically come on when the phone detects that you're in a moving car by choosing 'Automatic'.

Conclusion

And just like that, you've activated the feature. You should see black dots sort of pop up on your screen, no worries though, it's just there to help you and won't show up on things like screenshots and screen recordings.

Whether you’re a passenger on a long road trip or just commuting to work, turning on Vehicle Motion Cues can make using your iPhone in a moving vehicle a lot more comfortable. It's a small feature that can make a big difference for motion-sensitive users, definitely worth a try.
