We’ve all had moments where blocking someone on WhatsApp felt necessary, whether it was to avoid spam, cool off after a heated exchange, or just get some peace from an overly chatty group member.

I’ve used the block feature a few times myself, and recently I realized that I couldn't even remember who I’d blocked over the years. If you’re in the same boat and want to check your blocked list, here’s how to do it.

Steps to View Blocked Contacts (On Android)

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and tap the three-dot menu in the top-right corner and select "Settings"

Step 2: Select "Privacy"

Step 3: Scroll down and click Blocked contacts

Step 4: Now, you’ll see a list of everyone you've blocked. From here, you can tap a name to unblock them if you’ve had a change of heart

Steps to View Blocked Contacts (On iPhone)

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and click the Settings icon at the bottom-right corner

Step 2: Select "Privacy"

Step 3: Now, click "Contacts"

Step 4: Following that, tap "Blocked"

Step 5: You’ll see the full list of blocked contacts. Like on Android, you can tap on a contact to unblock them if needed

Conclusion

In the end, knowing how to view your blocked contacts on WhatsApp is a small but useful way to manage your privacy and keep your chat list clutter-free. Whether you’re checking for old blocks or deciding to give someone another chance, it only takes a few taps. It's all about having control over who gets access to your time and attention—and sometimes, a quick scroll through that list is a good reminder of how far you've come.
