Sony is bringing free, ad-supported television to the PlayStation 5 in the U.S. with the launch of Live TV on PS5.
The new service, powered by Sony Pictures Television, gives PS5 players access to more than 100 live channels alongside a growing selection of on-demand content. The programming covers movies, TV shows, anime, sports, news, weather, gaming, esports, and creator-led entertainment.

What is Live TV on PS5?
Live TV on PS5 is a free, ad-supported streaming service available directly through the Media section of the PS5 console.
At launch, the service includes programming from major entertainment and sports brands, including Amazon MGM Studios, Crunchyroll, FOX, NBCUniversal, NFL Channel, UFC, and others.
The service also includes both live channels and on-demand programming, meaning you can watch scheduled programming or explore available entertainment when it suits you.
How to access Live TV on PS5
Getting started only takes a few steps.
Step 1: Go to the Media tab
From your PS5 home screen, navigate to the Media section.
Step 2: Select Live TV on PS5
Look for the Live TV on PS5 icon and select it to open the service.
Step 3: Sign in with your PlayStation account
Select “Sign In With My PlayStation Account.” Follow the instructions on screen to connect your PlayStation account and begin watching.
