The wait for Tommy Norris to return is turning out to be much longer than Landman fans expected. Paramount+ has confirmed a third season of Taylor Sheridan’s oil drama, but the production schedule has pushed its return beyond 2026.

James Jordan, who plays Dale Bradley, says filming is expected to begin in September and continue into early 2027, making a 2027 premiere the realistic outcome.

Landman previously followed a fairly quick annual release pattern. Season 1 arrived in November 2024, followed by Season 2 in November 2025. The longer gap gives Sheridan more time to develop the next chapter, but it also leaves viewers waiting after a season finale that significantly changed Tommy's future.

Why Landman Season 3 Is Taking Longer

Landman Season 3 was officially renewed by Paramount+ in December 2025 after the second season delivered record viewing numbers. Its premiere generated more than 9.2 million global streaming views in its first two days, making it the biggest premiere in Paramount+ history at the time and 262% higher than the first season's opening.
