Monthly smartphone shipments from India have reached a record $1 billion (over ₹8,200 crores) for the first time ever in September 2022, beating the previous record of $770 million in December 2021, a 200% increase over September 2021.
In a report by the Economic Times, mobile phone exports from April to September grew up to 147% from the same period in 2021, with exports reaching up to $4.2 billion from $1.7 billion in 2021 and have been playing around the $700 million range in from June through August this year.
