Startup funding activity across Asia picked up pace this week, with several companies in the Edtech, cybersecurity, healthtech, and financial sectors raising notable rounds, totalling around $301 million across 12 deals.

Starting with the biggest funding of the week, Singapore's cross border payment platform Thunes nets $150 million in Series D funding to expand in the United States. Meanwhile, home decor startup in Singapore, Livspace, bagged $50 million in internal funding to move its base of operations back to India as it prepares for an initial public offering (IPO).

Still in Singapore, Edtech startup Manabie raised $23 million in Series B funding to expand its product in Japan, accelerate development of AI tutor tools, and enter new markets in Southeast Asia. Furthermore, cybersecurity startup SquareX, also based in Singapore, raised $20 million in Series A funding to strengthen its mission of securing online users with its browser-based protection solutions.

Moving to India, Gurugram-based startup HexaHealth secured $12 million in a Series A funding to boost its tech-enabled surgery care platform in the country. India isn't done yet, as solar financing startup Metafin also raised $10 million in Series A funding to expand operations.

Over in Hong Kong, corporate medical solutions provider Toby raised a hefty $8 million in a pre-seed round to build the platform’s technical system and expand operations. Also, Hong Kong-based Web3 startup Terminal 3 raised $8 million in early funding to improve its data privacy and security.

Likewise, quantum cybersecurity firm QNu Labs, based in India, received $7.2 million in Series A funding to expand its research and development.

Pakistan-based healthcare company MedIQ also made headlines with a $6 million Series A funding round, which will enable the company to expand into Saudi Arabia and Qatar.

Back to India, Edtech platform Stimuler secured $3.75 million in a pre-Series A round to accelerate product development and user acquisition. And finally, in India, space tech startup SatLeo Labs raised $3.3 million in pre-seed funding.

All in all, these funding rounds showcase the incredible diversity and dynamism of Asia’s startup ecosystem. From cybersecurity to healthcare, these startups are not just securing funds—they’re paving the way for a more innovative and connected future.
