These are the funding deals we tracked in Asia this week — featuring Salmon, Aspora, Spinny, Mahaveer Finance, Oben Electric, Instapay, Dugar Finance, Saswat Finance, Illumine, and Darwix AI.
Asia’s startup ecosystem saw a wave of funding activity this week, with about $215.6 million raised across fintech, healthcare, mobility, cleantech, and AI sectors. Startups from India dominated the volume of deals, while the Philippines led in deal size.
Leading the funding headlines is Salmon, a fintech company based in the Philippines, which secured $88 million to expand its digital lending and financial services across the country. Following closely is Aspora, an India-based cross-border digital payments startup, which raised $50 million in a Series B funding round.
India’s Spinny, a used-car retail platform, raised $30 million in Series F funding to strengthen operations. Another Indian startup, Mahaveer Finance, also secured $23 million in a Series C funding round to improve its in-house credit system, open more branches across South India, and provide accessible loans to people.

In the electric vehicle space, Oben Electric closed a $12 million Series A round to open over 150 showrooms in 50 cities across India. On the fintech front, Instapay, a digital payments startup based in India, raised $3 million in a Series A2 funding round to grow its services and expand into new countries.
Meanwhile, India-based Dugar Finance brought in $3 million in debt funding to help grow its EV and rooftop solar loan services. Still in the fintech startup scene, Mumbai-based Saswat Finance secured $2.6 million in a pre-Series A funding round to expand its operations, improve its technology, and launch new financial products.
On the other hand, Bengaluru-based Illumine, a startup using AI to improve childcare, raised $2.5 million in seed funding to speed up product development and support the company’s plans to expand internationally.
Rounding out the week, Darwix AI, a generative AI startup for sales and customer service conversations from India, secured $1.5 million in seed funding to improve its product and grow into new markets.
