These are the funding deals we tracked in Asia this week — featuring Galbot, United Imaging Intelligence, Raphe mPhibr, Wiom, Battery Smart, GoKwik, Sahi, Galaxy Education, Fabheads, Flipspaces, and StayVista.
This week, Asia’s startup ecosystem witnessed a surge of large-scale funding deals, with AI, consumer tech, electric vehicles, and manufacturing leading the charge. Across China, India, and Southeast Asia, startups raised about $507.4 million.
China led the region with a major raise from Galbot, an embodied AI startup, which secured $153 million in a Series A round. The startup is working on building humanoid AI systems designed to physically interact with the world, signalling China’s serious ambition in the robotics and smart automation space.
Not far behind is United Imaging Intelligence, also from China, which bagged $139 million in Series A funding to develop cutting-edge medical imaging and AI diagnostics tools.
Back in India, Raphe mPhibr, a drone technology startup, closed a substantial $100 million Series B round to increase local production capabilities. Still in India, Wiom, an internet solutions provider startup, raised $40 million in growth funding to develop new products, expand its tech and operations teams, and bring its services to more small towns and districts across India.

In the EV ecosystem, India’s Battery Smart, a battery-swapping startup, raised $21 million in Series B funding to expand its battery-swapping stations across urban centres and improve its battery tech platform. Indian e-commerce enablement platform GoKwik also secured $13 million in a growth funding round to expand faster into international markets, particularly the UK and Europe.
Meanwhile, India’s Sahi, a new-age broking platform, raised $10.5 million in Series A funding to improve its platform by adding more automation.
Away from India, Galaxy Education, an edtech firm from Vietnam, secured $10 million to expand its digital learning tools and content for K-12 and higher education. Also, India's Fabheads, a composite manufacturing startup, raised $10 million in Series A funding to scale manufacturing and R&D.
Flipspaces, a tech-enabled interior design startup in India, raised $5.9 million. The funding will enable the company to expand its business in India, the US, and the UAE. It will also be used to improve its in-house technology platform and explore buying other companies in related fields.
Finally, in India, StayVista, a luxury villa rental platform, brought in $5 million in Series B funding to expand into new markets, bolster its team, and add more high-end vacation homes to its platform.
