With less than two weeks before Grand Theft Auto 6 arrives, Rockstar Games has given fans another reason to examine every detail of its upcoming open-world adventure. This time, the attention isn't on Jason Duval or Lucia Caminos. It's on a familiar face that appears to belong to American rapper Kodak Black.
The speculation has some musical context. Kodak's song Skrilla featured in Rockstar's August 27 Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look, confirming an existing connection between the rapper's music and the game. Rockstar's senior vice president of narrative, Rupert Humphries, also told Dazed that the development team appreciates Miami artists, specifically mentioning Kodak Black and Sexyy Red.
Now, a new screenshot has given fans another reason to believe Kodak could have a presence in Vice City beyond the soundtrack.

The discovery comes from Rockstar's latest batch of 39 GTA 6 screenshots, released on November 5 as part of its official Launch Gallery. Among the images showing Vice City's nightlife, crowded streets, and supporting characters, one appears to feature Kodak inside the Jack of Hearts nightclub.
This isn't the first time fans have spotted a possible Kodak Black lookalike in GTA 6. Similar comparisons emerged after the game's first trailer in December 2023, but the latest screenshot offers a much clearer look at the character.
Rockstar hasn't officially identified him, so the appearance remains unconfirmed. However, the recognisable hairstyle, facial tattoos, and prominent jewellery have made the comparison difficult for fans to ignore.

Why Kodak Black's possible GTA 6 appearance matters
Kodak Black's possible appearance feels like a natural fit for GTA 6's setting. The rapper, whose real name is Bill Kahan Kapri, comes from Pompano Beach, Florida, while the game's fictional state of Leonida draws heavily from Florida's geography, culture and nightlife.
That connection makes the speculation more interesting than a random celebrity reference. Rockstar has invested considerable effort in recreating the personalities and cultural influences associated with the region. Including a recognisable Florida rapper would give Vice City's entertainment scene another connection to real-world South Florida.
There's also the Jack of Hearts connection. The nightclub has appeared in several GTA 6 promotional materials, while Travis Scott said RHYNO, his track on the game’s soundtrack, was “recorded live at the J.O.H.”, a nod to Jack of Hearts. With a character resembling Kodak appearing inside the club, fans are beginning to wonder whether it could become a meeting point for real-world musicians in GTA 6.
Travis Scott is an obvious name being mentioned, although Rockstar hasn't confirmed whether he or other recording artists will appear as characters.
Rockstar has a history of bringing real musicians into GTA
Rockstar has previously brought musicians into its fictional worlds in more direct ways than simply licensing their songs.
In GTA Online, Dr. Dre appeared as himself in The Contract update, giving players a storyline centred on recovering his stolen music. The After Hours update also introduced real-life DJs, including Solomun, Tale of Us and Dixon, as nightclub performers.
GTA 6 is taking that musical approach further with its in-game radio stations. Rockstar has already confirmed several high-profile artists as hosts, including Bad Bunny, Lana Del Rey, Morgan Wallen and Nigerian superstar Burna Boy.
Burna Boy will co-host AfroBank FM alongside British DJ Palms Trax. The station focuses on Amapiano, African classics and 3-step, giving African music a prominent place in Vice City's radio lineup. Its confirmed preview tracks include Asake’s Joha, Pat Thomas and Ebo Taylor’s Gye Wani, and DJ Lag and Robot Boii’s Shay’sana featuring Kamo Mphela.
For Nigerian players, Burna Boy's involvement is particularly exciting, especially with the station bringing contemporary African sounds into one of gaming's most recognisable fictional cities.
However, hosting a radio station is different from appearing as a character.
