Latin America's startup funding continued its slowdown in the first half of 2023, with a drastic drop in investment activity compared to the peak-era surge seen in 2021.

During the first half of 2023, reported seed through late-stage financings in Central and South America amounted to $1.1 billion, marking an 83% decline from the same period last year, per Crunchbase data.
