If you already own a library of Nintendo Switch games, upgrading to a Switch 2 doesn't necessarily mean buying everything again.
Nintendo and third-party publishers have released upgrade packs for existing Switch games, giving owners access to Switch 2 versions without paying the full price of a new game. Some upgrades are free, while others cost as little as $0.99. A few go as high as $19.99.
That makes it worth checking the upgrade price before buying a second copy of a game you already own.
