Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro Lineup, Pixel Tag: Everything Confirmed at Made by Google 2026

Hosted by Trevor Noah, yesterday's much-anticipated Made by Google event showcased the company's latest hardware lineup alongside guest appearances by Stephen Curry and a live performance by PinkPantheress.

The 2026 keynote was less about jaw-dropping surprises and more about celebrating the ecosystem. Google had already published specs and pricing eight hours prior, turning the stage event into a live launch party rather than a traditional news dump.

Four New Pixel 11 Phones Unveiled

Google officially unveiled four smartphones in its flagship lineup, all powered by the new Tensor G6 processor built on a 2nm architecture:

• Pixel 11: Features a 6.3-inch display, 12GB RAM, 256GB base storage, a 48MP main camera, and a 4,985mAh battery. Starts at $899.
• Pixel 11 Pro: Offers a 6.3-inch display reaching up to 3,600 nits of brightness, a 50MP main camera, and a 4,850mAh battery. Starts at $1,099.
• Pixel 11 Pro XL: Features a larger 6.8-inch display, the same Pro camera setup, a 5,115mAh battery, and 45W wired fast charging. Starts at $1,299.

• Pixel 11 Pro Fold: Boasts an 8-inch inner display, 16GB RAM, and a 4,750mAh battery wrapped in a thinner, lighter design than its predecessor. Starts at $1,899.

All four Pixel 11 models will ship simultaneously on August 20.

Why Everything Costs More

Rising memory costs have caught up with the hardware industry, driving prices up by $100 across every model in the Pixel 11 lineup compared to last year's Pixel 10 equivalents.

Google VP Shakil Barkat openly acknowledged the industry-wide component pressure in an interview with 9to5Google, citing data that shows the cost of 1GB of mobile RAM surged from $2.80 in 2025 to $12 in 2026.

"There’s never been an increase in memory prices like the world’s going through right now," Barkat said.

This aligns with recent IDC market data, which projects global smartphone shipments to decline by nearly 14% in 2026 as average device selling prices climb to a record high of $523.
