Sony has revealed the latest PlayStation Plus Game Catalog lineup, and there is a decent amount to dig into this month.
From the survival RPG RuneScape: Dragonwilds and the wrestling spectacle of WWE 2K26 to the wonderfully strange Date Everything! and the chaotic roguelite Ball x Pit, there is a surprisingly broad mix of games arriving for PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscribers.
And that's before getting to the horror-heavy additions.
Slitterhead, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound, Dungeons of Hinterberg, and Sniper Elite: Resistance are also joining the Game Catalog, while Premium subscribers get two older additions in Mega Man X Command Mission and Metro Redux.
Most of the lineup becomes available on September 15, although a few games have different release dates.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds
I'm most curious about RuneScape: Dragonwilds simply because it takes one of gaming's oldest MMORPG worlds and turns it into a cooperative survival adventure.
Set on the forgotten continent of Ashenfall, the game has players gathering resources, building, crafting, exploring, and fighting dragons. There's also a progression system tied to RuneScape's familiar skills, with new abilities and spells unlocking as you develop your character.
You'll encounter creatures from RuneScape's history alongside completely new enemies, including the Garou. The game also features a soundtrack combining reorchestrated RuneScape classics with new music.
If you've ever wanted to see what RuneScape would look like as a survival game, this is probably the month to find out.

WWE 2K26
If survival games aren't your thing, there's always professional wrestling.
WWE 2K26 joins the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog with what 2K describes as the most expansive gameplay experience in the franchise so far. The roster includes more than 400 WWE Superstars and Legends, including The Rock, Triple H, John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Rey Fénix, Rusev and Blake Monroe.
The biggest story-focused addition is the Showcase mode centred around CM Punk. The mode explores an alternate history in which Punk never left WWE, allowing players to revisit some of his biggest rivalries through fantasy scenarios.

Ball x Pit
Ball x Pit is one of the more unusual games in this month's lineup, and the premise is wonderfully ridiculous. The city of Ballbylon has been destroyed, leaving behind a giant pit filled with monsters and treasure hunters looking for whatever riches remain.
Your job is to descend into the pit while battling increasingly difficult enemies with an expanding collection of magic-infused projectiles. The roguelite structure means you'll be developing ammunition, collecting resources and recruiting additional heroes as you try to go deeper.
I like the sound of this one because it doesn't appear to take itself too seriously. It's fast, colourful and built around the kind of short, repeatable runs that can become surprisingly addictive.
One important note: Ball x Pit becomes available September 22 in the US, UK and Japan, rather than September 15.

Date Everything!
Then there's Date Everything!, which might be the strangest game in this month's lineup.
You lose your job to AI, receive a mysterious pair of magical glasses called Dateviators, and suddenly discover that the objects in your house are alive and dateable.
Yes, the chair can apparently become your lover. So can other household objects, depending on the choices you make. Each character has their own personality, story, and relationship path, allowing objects to become friends, enemies, or romantic partners.
It's an absurd premise, but that's precisely why I'm interested. Date Everything! is available today, September 9, in the US and UK, and September 10 in Japan.
