Three days. That’s how long Realme claims its new phone can last on a single charge. So, no need for a charging case or power bank. Just an 8,000mAh battery packed inside a surprisingly slim device.
Meet the Realme P4R 5G, a phone built for people who are tired of watching their battery percentage drop before the day is over. Starting at ₹16,999 (about $200), the device targets younger users looking for long battery life, smooth performance, and AI-powered features without stretching their budget.
Everything we know about the Realme P4R 5G

The headline feature is the 8,000mAh Titan Battery. Realme says it can deliver “up to three days of usage on a full charge”. The company also claims the battery retains 80 percent of its original capacity even after 1,600 charging cycles, which works out to roughly seven years of daily charging.
To complement the large battery, the phone supports 45W fast charging, bypass charging for gamers, where power is supplied directly to the phone rather than the battery to reduce heat, and reverse wired charging for topping up other devices.
Realme has also equipped the phone with a 5,300 mm² vapour chamber, which it says is the largest in its segment. The cooling system is designed to help maintain stable frame rates in games like BGMI and Free Fire during extended sessions. One-tap cooling and an AI-powered cold charging mode further help manage temperatures.

On the front, there’s a 6.8-inch LCD display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 1,200 nits of brightness, making it easier to use outdoors under direct sunlight.
Durability is another focus. The phone features Realme’s ArmorShell Tough Build, MIL-STD-810H military-grade shock resistance, and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. It won’t replace a rugged phone, but it should survive everyday accidents.
For photography, the P4R 5G comes with a 50MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. The hardware is fairly standard, so Realme is leaning heavily on software features such as AI Portrait Glow, AI Eraser 2.0, AI Ultra Clarity, and AI Unblur. Security features include AI Anti-Theft and Google Remote Lock.
Powering everything is the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, paired with up to 6GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The phone runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16.
How it stacks up against the Oppo Reno 16

Things get more interesting when you compare it to what’s coming next. Oppo is preparing to launch the Reno 16, and early benchmark listings suggest a very different approach.
The Reno 16 reportedly features a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor and 12GB of RAM, making it a much stronger performer on paper than the P4R’s Dimensity 6300 and 6GB RAM ceiling.
That likely means better gaming and multitasking performance. But it probably won’t match the Realme’s massive 8,000mAh battery. Most smartphones don’t. That’s the trade-off here: more power versus more endurance. The Oppo will also likely cost more. The Realme P4R starts at ₹16,999, while Reno devices have traditionally occupied a higher price bracket.
Different phones for different priorities. If you want raw performance and don’t mind charging every night, the Oppo may be worth waiting for. If your biggest complaint is constantly looking for a charger, the Realme P4R makes a strong case.
The P4R isn’t trying to be the fastest phone in its class. It’s trying to be the one that lasts the longest. For students, commuters, and anyone suffering from battery anxiety, that’s a compelling trade-off.
