Samsung Galaxy Unpacked July 2025: What to Expect and How to Watch
The July Unpacked edition is taking us on a folding spree and more.

The first Galaxy Unpacked this year gave us a lot (the Galaxy 25 series, the ultra-thin Edge model) but somehow, Samsung still has everyone in a chokehold for the next one.
After the long wait, Samsung Unpacked foldable edition now has an official date, July 9 in Brooklyn, New York. Here, we'll get an actual glimpse (not mere speculations anymore) into what the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Watch 8, and other gadgets have come packed with.
There hasn’t been many details as to what to expect, but from rumours and product announcements that have been rolling in, these are what we’ll likely see at the Galaxy Unpacked July edition:
1/ Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra

All eyes are on the Galaxy Z Fold 7 Ultra, and for good reasons. Asides the rumours, the teasers have not been subtle, Samsung has hinted on an Ultra experience. The Fold 7 is expected to be thinner than ever (rumored to beat even the Oppo Find N5’s 4.21mm profile when open), and even more powerful, as it's bricked with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite chip and Galaxy AI features.
The rumoured 200MP main camera is also a formidable expectation, especially if it’s borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. The displays are getting upgrades too, an 8-inch inner screen and a 6.5-inch cover screen. For the price, everyone's crossing their fingers it holds the $1,899 mark.
2/ Galaxy Z Flip 7

With Motorola’s Razr Ultra 2025 making waves, Samsung knows it can’t play it safe this year. So, the Flip 7 is expected to come equipped with a bigger 6.85-inch main display and a 4-inch cover screen, possibly big enough to run full apps on the outside. It might keep the same camera setup as last year, but it makes up for it with a larger 4,300mAh battery and the potential shift to an Exynos 2500 chip, at least in some regions.
Rumor also has it that a cheaper Galaxy Z Flip FE might show up later, as Samsung’s way to counter Motorola’s budget flip models. The pricing might also go down slightly from last year’s $1,099.
3/ Galaxy G Fold

The Galaxy G Fold is basically Samsung trying to out-fold itself. This tri-fold phone folds like a map, and while we may not get a full launch at Unpacked, insiders think we’ll at least get a sneak peek. Availability might be limited, both in numbers and regions.
4/ The Galaxy Watch 8 lineup

Moving from phones to wrists, the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup could show up in three distinct flavors: the standard Watch 8, the returning Watch 8 Classic, and the square-circle Galaxy Watch Ultra (2025).
The Classic may bring back the fan-favorite rotating bezel, while the Watch 8 could get a new squarish case and possibly a move to MicroLED display tech. And if the rumours about the blood glucose monitoring via the wrist is true, that would be a massive win for health-focused users.
5/ Project Moohan

And then there’s Project Moohan, Samsung’s joint XR venture with Google and Qualcomm, and its official competition against Apple’s Vision Pro.
From the rumours so far, the headset will use Sony 4K micro-OLED displays with 3,552 × 3,840 resolution, 1,000-nit brightness at 20% power, 96% DCI-P3 color gamut, and 90 FPS. It's also rumoured to come equipped with Google's latest Gemini smarts powered into it, and probably full support for hand tracking and eye tracking, as well as motion-based controllers.
But this is all we know so far. While we’re not expecting a full launch on July 9, a preview seems likely. We're uncertain of the price, but, hopefully, Samsung gives us a clue without bleeding our pockets dry.
6/ One UI 8

Finally, there’s One UI 8, Samsung’s newest software layer atop Android 16. It’s already in beta on the Galaxy S25, and it’ll likely headline alongside the new foldables. We're expecting a heavier focus on Galaxy AI integration, smarter multitasking, and maybe some surprises in how your Samsung ecosystem works together.
7/ The Galaxy Ring 2

Rumours also suggest that Samsung will show off its next smart ring at the July Unpacked. The rumours have it that the Galaxy Ring 2 will bring more accurate health data sensors and improved AI functionalities. There have also been claims of an extensive battery life exceeding 7 days. There is also a hint that the ring would be thinner than the 2.6mm first-gen model.
How to Watch the Galaxy Unpacked July

Conclusion
Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked July 2025 will give us a glimpse into what or how Samsung is modeling the Galaxy ecosystem. With their new Galaxy phone designs, AI integration, and hardware like Project Moohan rivaling Apple, Samsung is definitely playing it hard this year.
