Spotify is making it easier to find exactly what you want to listen to without endlessly scrolling through playlists or typing search queries.
The music streaming giant has introduced a new ChatGPT-like AI music assistant that lets Premium subscribers have natural conversations with Spotify to discover music, podcasts, and audiobooks. Instead of tapping through menus, you can simply ask Spotify what you want to hear, refine your request with follow-up questions, and even learn more about your favorite artists and albums.
The feature is currently rolling out in beta for Spotify Premium users aged 18 and above in the United States, Ireland, and Sweden on both iOS and Android devices. It is available in English, with Spotify expected to expand support to more markets over time.
What is Spotify's new AI music assistant?
Spotify's latest AI feature allows users to chat with the app much like they would with ChatGPT or another AI assistant.
Whether you're looking for a playlist to match your mood, trying to discover artists you've never heard before, or curious about your own listening habits, the assistant can respond in real time and continue the conversation based on your follow-up prompts.
