For years, The Voice has asked viewers to sit back, watch the performances, and then decide who deserves another week. Season 30 wants fans to do something a little more immediate.
When the live shows return, viewers will be able to vote through text messages and TikTok, with results announced on the same night. It is part of a much bigger reset for NBC’s singing competition, which premieres its 30th season on September 21 at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
The show is filmed in Los Angeles and will air on NBC, with episodes available on Peacock the following day. With Queen Latifah and Riley Green joining Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson, The Voice is changing who sits in the red chairs while also changing how much influence viewers have once the singing begins.

Season 29 was produced without the traditional live-show stage, meaning viewers did not have the same real-time role they had become accustomed to. Season 30 reverses that approach with six weeks of live performances. NBC says the live episodes will also be simulcast on NBC and Peacock across all US time zones for the first time.
