New Features in WWE 2K26
The latest entry in the long-running wrestling series introduces several updates across its main modes.
One of the headline features is 2K Showcase, which focuses on the career of CM Punk. The mode revisits key moments from the wrestler’s career, alongside fictional “fantasy warfare” matches and gauntlet challenges.
The game also features a roster of more than 400 playable characters, including current stars and legends such as John Cena, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Iyo Sky, Andre the Giant, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Liv Morgan, and Rey Fenix.
New match types include I Quit, Inferno, Three Stages of Hell, and Dumpster matches. The game also introduces updated reversal and stamina mechanics, intergender matches, and improved physics systems designed to make gameplay more tactical.
Expanded Creation and Game Modes
The Creation Suite has also been expanded. Players can now create up to 200 custom wrestlers and store up to 2,000 images, alongside additional customization options for faces, bodies, and hairstyles.
Management mode MyGM and story mode MyRISE have been updated with larger rosters, new match types, and expanded storylines.
Universe Mode, the series’ sandbox experience, now includes a WWE Draft system and additional match outcomes, promos, and cash-in mechanics for Money in the Bank briefcases.
Other returning modes include The Island, which features an expanded exploration environment and quests, and MyFACTION, a card-collection mode with seasonal challenges.
Ringside Pass and Switch 2 Features
A new Ringside Pass progression system replaces the traditional downloadable content model. It includes 60 free tiers and 40 premium tiers, offering additional characters, in-game currency, and mode-specific content.
On the Nintendo Switch 2, the game includes several platform-specific features such as touchscreen and mouse support, single Joy-Con play, and compatibility with Nintendo’s GameShare and GameChat functions. The console’s mouse controls can also be used in the Creation Suite for detailed customization.
The full release of WWE 2K26 on Switch 2 and other platforms is scheduled for March 13, 2026.
