Four Xbox games are expected to leave digital storefronts in October 2026. While two removals have been confirmed, another two remain uncertain because their publishers’ announcements specifically mention Steam rather than Xbox.
If you’re planning to buy any of these games, you should know that once a game is removed from the Xbox Store, purchasing a new digital copy may no longer be possible. But delisting doesn’t automatically mean existing owners lose access to their purchases.
The first game on the list has already disappeared, while NBA 2K25 is scheduled to leave the store on October 30. The two Leisure Suit Larry games could follow on October 23, but their Xbox delistings haven't been officially confirmed, according to a report from PureXbox.

Which Xbox Games Are Being Delisted in October 2026?
Here are the four games to watch, based on announcements available as of October 13, 2026.
- Fortnite Rocket Racing — October 1: Already delisted and no longer playable.
- Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Don't Dry — October 23: Potential delisting; Xbox removal has not been confirmed.
- Leisure Suit Larry: Wet Dreams Dry Twice — October 23: Potential delisting; Xbox removal has not been confirmed.
- NBA 2K25 — October 30: Scheduled for delisting ahead of its server shutdown in December.
The key difference is that Fortnite Rocket Racing and NBA 2K25 have confirmed timelines, while the two Leisure Suit Larry titles remain a case of watching for further clarification.
Fortnite Rocket Racing Was Delisted on October 1
Fortnite Rocket Racing is already gone. The mode was discontinued on October 1, and players can no longer access it.
Unlike a conventional game delisting, which generally removes a title from sale while leaving it playable for existing owners, this closure also ended access to the experience itself. That makes it the clearest example on this month's list of what can happen when a live-service game is shut down entirely.
NBA 2K25 Will Leave the Xbox Store on October 30
NBA 2K25 is the next confirmed removal. The basketball game is scheduled to be delisted on October 30, giving players a limited window to purchase it digitally.
There’s another date worth keeping in mind: its servers are scheduled to go offline at the end of December. That means the October delisting is only part of the timeline for a game whose online services are also approaching their end.
Anyone considering a purchase should weigh that short remaining period of online support against the game's offline features and the price. Buying it before the delisting will not guarantee that its online modes remain available indefinitely.
