Following its “Wonderlust” event which featured the launch of an array of products including the iPhone 15 series, the Apple Watch Series 9 and the latest AirPods, Apple is strategically positioning itself for an ambitious manufacturing expansion.
According to industry sources, Apple is planning to scale up manufacturing in India by over five-fold, targeting an impressive $40 billion over the next four to five years – a huge jump from the $7 billion manufacturing size in its last fiscal year – as the company looks to diversify its supply chain amid rising geopolitical tensions with China.
