Only a handful of earphones offer that combination, and Bose's new wired earphones are one of the few to join that list.
After 11 years, Bose has announced new noise-cancelling wired earbuds for $99. At a time when wired earphones are becoming trendy again, Bose might be hoping to convince lovers of wired earphones that this is still the way to go.

Bose is joining the wired earphone trend
Nostalgia is truly a weird thing. Years after wired earphones were no longer mainstream or part of the cultural zeitgeist, they're now making a comeback, with wired headphone sales jumping 20% in the first six weeks of 2026 after five consecutive years of decline.
Young people appear to be at the centre of the trend, with many celebrities rocking wired earphones as part of their outfits. Bose itself seems to have taken notice.
“Wired earbuds are experiencing a cultural renaissance,” said Raza Haider, Bose's president of consumer audio. “Technology has come a long way since our last wired earbuds, allowing us the opportunity to bring our latest advancements to the category and set a new standard for what wired earbuds should be.”
This has led the company to join the trend by releasing its first new wired earphones in more than a decade.
The combination of ANC in wired earbuds is so rare
Very few wired earbuds on the market include active noise cancellation. Some that do have received mediocre reviews, with customers claiming the feature is barely noticeable.
