You don't have to wait until November 10 to start building your next football dynasty. Football Manager 27 is offering players free access to its Launch Preview until November 3, giving you five days to get familiar with the new management experience before the full game arrives.

The free trial is available across Steam, Epic Games Store, the Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, and PC Game Pass. You don't need to register for a separate account or sign up for another service if you're downloading through a supported PC storefront. Just head to your preferred platform, download the Launch Preview, and get started.

There's another reason to give it a go now. Unlike a traditional demo, the Launch Preview gives you access to the complete FM27 experience, including its different game modes and Shuffle Draft, a new multiplayer addition. Better still, you won't have to abandon your progress when the free period ends.

Here's how to get started, what you can expect, and what happens when the free access period expires.

Elder Scrolls 6 Sentinel: Release Date, Setting and Reveal
Eight years after its 2018 teaser, The Elder Scrolls 6 may finally have a name, and Bethesda could reveal it as soon as November.

When does the Football Manager 27 free trial end?

The Football Manager 27 Launch Preview is free to play until 6pm GMT on November 3, 2026.

That gives PC and Mac players five days to explore the game before the free access period ends. Keep in mind that availability times may differ slightly between platforms, so the Launch Preview might not appear in every storefront at exactly the same time.

After November 3, you can continue playing by purchasing the game. The paid Launch Preview period will run from 6pm GMT on November 3 until the official release on November 10.

In other words, you can start your career now, continue playing after the free period by purchasing the game, and keep that same save when the full version arrives.

How to download Football Manager 27 for free

Getting access to FM27 is straightforward. You don't need a separate registration or an additional sign-up process. Simply visit one of the supported storefronts, find Football Manager 27, and download the Launch Preview.

Here are the platforms where you can get it:

  • Steam: Find Football Manager 27 on the Steam Store and download the Launch Preview.
  • Epic Games Store: Head to the Epic Games Store and search for Football Manager 27.
  • Microsoft Store: Look for Football Manager 27 in the Microsoft Store.

What's included in the Football Manager 27 Launch Preview?

This isn't a small demo that gives you a taste of the menus before locking away the rest of the experience. Sports Interactive says the Launch Preview includes the complete FM27 experience across all game modes.

That means you can explore the available management modes and spend time figuring out your approach before the full release.

One of the additions worth checking out is Shuffle Draft, a new, fast-paced multiplayer mode. It offers a different way to experience Football Manager, giving players something beyond the traditional long-term business of managing a club.

There's also an important distinction between this year's Launch Preview and the early-access releases players may remember from previous Football Manager games.

Sports Interactive says the Launch Preview replaces the previous Beta and Advanced Access releases. It is intended to be closer in quality and finality to the official launch version.

However, don't mistake that for a guarantee that everything is finished. The developers warn that players may still encounter bugs and glitches, which will be addressed through future updates. You can report problems through the official FM27 Bug Tracker.

There may also be some missing club and player assets while certain information is still awaiting approval from the relevant rights holders. Some in-game data may therefore differ from real-world information during the preview period.
