From Text Clutter to Audio Butter
The audio overview in search says, "Hear me out!"
If you have a lengthy PDF or document that you can’t be bothered to read, AI can easily turn it into a podcast—so you can just listen instead. Now, this feature is coming to Search itself. Sounds exciting, huh?
But when I think about it again, I wonder how many people have googled something and thought, “You know what would help me understand this quick question better? A six-minute podcast.” 😄
Still, it might catch on. If the history of AI features in Google products (hello, AI Overviews) is any indication, people may either embrace it or find it unsettling.
Perhaps it would be both. You never know.
