CHART: Global EV battery capacity rises in H1 2023 as EV sales surge worldwide

The electric vehicle (EV) revolution is accelerating, and with it, the battery supply chain is gaining remarkable momentum.

Recent data from Counterpoint's Global EV Battery Tracker revealed a surge in global EV battery capacity during the first half of 2023, growing by an impressive 54% year-on-year (YoY) to surpass 300GWh. This robust growth in battery capacity aligns with the surging global EV sales, which also witnessed a substantial 43% YoY increase.
