Global PC shipments faced a 7.6% year-over-year decrease in the third quarter of 2023, reaching only 68.2 million units shipped, according to the latest report from the IDC.
Despite this year-over-year decline, it's worth noting that the quarter marked the second consecutive quarter of growth in PC shipments when compared to the previous quarter.
PC inventory has also become more streamlined in recent months, approaching healthy levels across most channels. However, pricing pressures continue to persist, particularly in the consumer and business sectors.
