Armored Mewtwo is returning to Pokémon GO, giving trainers another chance to encounter the special version of the Legendary Pokémon during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale.
The announcement was made during the 2026 Pokémon World Championships in San Francisco. Armored Mewtwo will appear in five-star raids for a limited time across both days of the Mega Finale.

When is Armored Mewtwo returning to Pokémon GO?
Armored Mewtwo will appear in five-star raids during Pokémon GO Fest 2026: Mega Finale, which takes place on Saturday, September 5, 2026, and Sunday, September 6, 2026. Both events will happen from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. local time on both days
You'll need to participate in a five-star raid during these event hours for a chance to encounter Armored Mewtwo.
How to get Armored Mewtwo in Pokémon GO
Getting Armored Mewtwo requires participating in its five-star Raid Battles.
Step 1: Play Pokémon GO during the Mega Finale
Open Pokémon GO between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. local time on September 5 or September 6.
Step 2: Find an Armored Mewtwo five-star raid
Look around the in-game map for a five-star Raid Battle featuring Armored Mewtwo.
Step 3: Join the Raid Battle
Tap the raid and use a Raid Pass to enter. You can also invite other Trainers if you need help defeating Armored Mewtwo.
