Whatever the reason, TikTok makes it easy to change who can view your videos without having to delete them entirely. In this quick guide, learn how to hide a post on TikTok in just a few taps.
How to hide posts on TikTok
Step 1: Open up the app and tap on "Profile" in the bottom right
Step 2: Tap the video you want to hide.
Step 3: Tap on the three-dot line at the bottom right
Step 4: Once the menu opens up, swipe the bottom row till you get to "Privacy Settings"
Step 5: Choose the option "Only you" to keep things restricted. You could also choose "Friends" to keep it limited to just your friends on the app for things you don't necessarily want the whole world seeing.
Step 6: Once you've picked the option you prefer, hit the 'X' button. Changes are saved automatically
Step 7: And just like that, you've hidden your video from the public. To view it, simply tap the 'padlock' icon in your profile.
Here you'll find all your previously hidden videos too. To make the post public again, simply follow all the steps but select 'Everyone' for everyone instead
