Slick, an India-based social networking platform for GenZ, has raised $1.6 million in a seed funding round led by WEH Ventures to enhance user experience, drive innovation, and develop new features to attract even more users.
Based in Bangalore, Slick was founded by Archit Nanda and Rachit Bansal, and aims to revolutionize the social networking space for GenZ in India and beyond.
With innovative features such as anonymous compliments and candid profiles, Slick has already amassed over 1 million users in just a few short months since launching in December. The platform has quickly gained popularity among students across more than 5,000 schools and colleges in India, demonstrating the high demand for a more immersive social networking experience.
The latest funding round follows a successful $500k pre-seed round led by Unacademy’s founders and other angel investors, bringing Slick's total raised capital to over $2 million.
iSeed, Titan Capital and All In VC and other Angel Investors such as Sumit Gupta (Founder, CoinDCX), are other notable investors that participated in the round.
