INFOGRAPHIC: Google Pixel Watch 3 vs Apple Watch Series 10
A comparison guide between the Google Pixel Watch 3 and the Apple Watch Series 10.

This year has been a great one for wearable device users as many of the top-end companies have dropped the best wearable they have to offer.
A lot of them came with new features, some with better integration into their ecosystem, others at a steeper price which is why today, we are going to be looking at two tech giants' leading devices, the newly released Apple Watch Series 10 and the couple months old Google Pixel Watch 3.
Overview
- The Pixel Watch 3 was released in August and was packed with AI features, health features and a really powerful battery compared to previous iterations of the device. The watch also came in two sizes, 41mm and 45mm, but aside from a slight price difference and a bit more screen, there isn't much difference between the two.
- The Apple Watch Series 10, on the other hand (or wrist), just launched two days ago and Apple made a lot of promises about the device's capabilities. It came in fresh colours, with the two case options being aluminium and titanium, to allow for a very polished casual or sophisticated look. And with a wide range of Apple Watch straps for women available, users can personalize their watch to match any outfit or occasion, blending tech.
Display Size
When it comes to size, both devices have bigger displays compared to their previous iterations, but not necessarily bigger form factors.
- The Pixel Watch 3, as mentioned before, comes in 2 sizes, a 41mm and a 45mm round Actua display. This allows for a more natural watch look and maintains the style they've had ever since the first Pixel Watch.
- The Apple Watch Series 10 boasts the largest display ever seen on an Apple Watch. Both versions—a 46mm and 42mm wide-angle OLED display—are slightly larger than their Google counterpart. This extra-screen real estate means you can see more notifications at a glance and enjoy a more comfortable user experience. The square screen also feels more comfortable on the wrist and mimics the way your other mobile devices already look.

Design and Aesthetics
Apple and Google went with flashy designs and beautiful finishes this year, giving us some truly remarkable works of art.
- The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 comes in 4 colour combinations; Matte Black and Obsidian, Polished Silver and Porcelain, Champagne Gold and Hazel, Polished Silver and Rose Quartz. The 45mm version replaces the last two colours with a Matte Hazel and Hazel colour combination. They both come with rubber straps but in different sizes for different hands.
- Apple decided to tend to both its flashy and its sophisticated audience this year, with there being two versions of the Apple watch, one in an aluminium case, giving it the normal Apple Watch look we are used to, just shinier, and the other in a titanium case, giving it a more classy metallic black-tie look to it. The aluminium case comes in 3 colours (Jet Black, Rose Gold and Silver) and the titanium case comes in 3 colours (Slate, Gold and Natural)

Battery Life
Both watches claim an all-day battery life and fast charging in case you somehow find yourself low on battery.
- The 41mm Pixel Watch 3 boasts a 24-hour battery life with an always-on display. The bigger 45mm watch can go much longer, with it lasting up to 48 hours after a single charge. The devices also support fast charging and can go from 0% to 100% after just 60 and 80 minutes of being plugged in.
- The Apple Watch Series 10 will be able to last for up to 18 hours when used normally. The average person is usually awake for about 16 to 18 hours a day so this seems just about enough for anybody. Just like the Pixel, the Apple Watch also supports fast charging and can go from 0% to 80% after just 30 minutes of charging.
Features & Functionalities
Both devices offer many health and wellness functions, including the ability to monitor your heart rate, keep track of your fitness and act as an extension of your phone. However, they both came with some unique features this year;
- With the Pixel Watch 3, Google was able to add a unique feature they call "Loss of Pulse Detection". As the name suggests, the watch can detect when its user's pulse stops and automatically call emergency services if the user doesn't respond. This feature could especially be useful for the elderly or those who tend to operate alone.
- The Apple Watch Series 10, also comes with the unique ability to detect sleep apnea of its user. This could help prevent a lot of the health problems that come with it like heart problems and hypertension
Compatibility
Both wearable devices were built to fit into their respective company's ecosystems. But, smartwatches are typically designed to revolve around the smartphones they come with.
According to Google, the Pixel Watch works with most phones running on Android 10.0 or newer and Apple says their Watch Series 10 will work with the iPhone XS and all phones after it.
Chipset & Storage
- The Pixel Watch 3 uses a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 with a Cortex-M33 co-processor to power its operations. This allows it to run its operating system, WearOS 5.0 easily. It also has 2 GB SDRAM and 32 GB eMMC flash. This might sound small, but realistically, how are you ever going to fill it up?
- The Watch Series 10 will run Apple's latest WatchOS 11 with its S10 SiP with a 64‑bit dual-core processor and a 4‑core Neural Engine. It will be running all of this with the same storage space as a lot of mid-range phones of 64GB
Price
Technically, 4 watches are being compared here since both companies created two versions of their new watch. A lot of things remain the same for the two versions of each watch like their functions and capabilities but their prices don't fall in this category.
- Google priced its 41mm Pixel Watch 3 at $349 and its 45mm Pixel Watch 3 at $399.
- Apple on the other hand is a bit pricier at $399 for its Watch Series 10 with the aluminium case and $699 for the watch that comes with the titanium case.
Verdict
Both flagship devices from both tech giants are innovative in their own right and serve different purposes, ultimately, your decision should be led by what it is you want from a smartwatch.
While it's a bit more expensive than the Pixel Watch, the Apple Watch Series 10 feels like a no-brainer if you are already knee-deep in Apple's ecosystem. Not only will it be optimal when used that way, it also provides a slightly bigger screen than the Pixel watch while remaining quite light and discreet.
But, if you want a more playful, experimental and fun vibe, the Pixel might be the way for you. Especially when used with other Google devices, its ability to harness Gemini AI and deliver information in a way that is suited to you just feels like a plus. It's round design, soft finish and compatibility with most Android device just makes it a more versatile option.
