Inventus Capital, a venture capital firm based in India has launched $120 million in its fourth fund to support early-stage consumer internet and software-as-a-service (SaaS) startups.

  • The launched fund is waiting for the approval of the Securities and Exchange Board of India, targeted at six months' time, the firm claims.
  • Coming with the launching of its new fund, Inventus Capital has rebranded to Athera Venture Partners.
  • The VC firm invested in 13 startups with its third fund including space-tech firm Pixxel, Playshifu, an interactive toys company, and Euler Motors, an automotive company.
  • Its latest fundraise is backed by local and international investors including Phanindra Sama of Redbus, Yashish Dahiya and Alok Bansal of PolicyBazaar.
