Apple's iPhone is always one of the most anticipated devices released each year, and this year is no different. The iPhone 18 lineup has been the subject of nonstop speculation, with rumors about design changes, upgraded specs, price increases, and even the long-awaited foldable iPhone, which some reports suggest could launch as the iPhone Ultra.
For fans eagerly awaiting Apple’s next smartphones, here’s everything you need to know about the iPhone 18 lineup.
/1. The iPhone 18 lineup could launch in two phases
For the first time ever, reports suggest Apple could split the iPhone launch across two different seasons. The premium models, the iPhone 18 Pro, the iPhone 18 Pro Max, and the rumored iPhone Ultra, could arrive on 8 or 9 September this year because previous release dates are usually around those days.
Meanwhile, the more affordable models, including the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18E, and possibly a second-generation iPhone Air, could be pushed to spring 2027.
If true, this would mark a major departure from Apple’s traditional single September launch event, a strategy it has followed since the iPhone 4S debuted in 2011.
