Taylor Sheridan’s Lioness is heading towards its Season 3 finale with more momentum than ever. The Paramount+ espionage thriller has already delivered its strongest opening season performance, while cast and creative developments are giving fans more reasons to believe the story will continue.
Season 3 premiered on August 2, 2026, and its eighth and final episode is scheduled for September 20 on Paramount+. In the US, viewers can stream the series through Paramount+, with plans starting at $8.99 a month for the Essential tier and $13.99 for Premium.
With Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman and Morgan Freeman leading the cast, Lioness has also expanded its audience beyond the US, making its performance an important factor in the question of whether Paramount+ will order Season 4.
How Well is Lioness Season 3 Performing?
Paramount said the Season 3 premiere attracted 7.1 million viewers globally in its first seven days of streaming, based on the company’s internal data. That was significantly higher than the audience for the Season 2 premiere in 2024.
The show also ranked as the No. 2 most-watched streaming original in the US during the week of August 2 to 8, according to preliminary Nielsen data. It generated 6.9 million social media views during its first few days and was ranked the No. 1 buzziest streaming drama over that period.
